Chapter Sixty-Five

"Hey." Matt said, waking me up. I had fallen asleep in his bed while he was downstairs watching the movie.
"Oh, hey. Sorry." I said, rolling over and sitting up.
"It's okay. Are you alright?" He asked. I shook my head no.
"Nick called. He's in the city." I told him.
"What? How come nobody bothers to tell you they are coming?" He asked.
"I don't know!" I said.
"We can leave first thing in the morning if you want." He said.
"Okay. Thanks." I told him. We didn't say anything after that. He just climbed in bed with me and we fell asleep.
We woke up early the next morning, had breakfast with his family, and then left. I called Nick when we were close to my apartment and told him I was home. I said bye to Matt, and watched him drive away, then carried my bags upstairs. I opened the door and there was a loud shout of "Surprise!". I jumped and looked around. Nick was already there, and so were my mom, dad, Anna, Jaime, Johnny, and of course Gila.
"What the fuck-" I said, not able to stop the words from coming out. Nick ran over and hugged me. If he was mad the night before, he wasn't acting like it. He kissed my cheek and then dropped to one knee. I gasped.
"Nick, get up." I whispered.
"Sam." He said.
"Get up. Get up, get up, get up!" I said through gritted teeth. He didn't hear me, no one did.
"Will you marry me?" He asked, holding up a ring box with a HUGE diamond engagement ring. I couldn't breath. I felt myself panicing. I looked around and everyone was staring at me. My mom and sister had this look of absolute glee on there faces. Johnny looked really upset, Jaime looked like he could care less. Gila looked just as nervous as me. I couldn't bear to look at my dad. I looked down at Nick, and he was smiling so big. I took a deep breath, and then started to give my answer...

I woke up in my bed, covered in sweat. "Thank god, it was just a dream!" I thought in my head. I was confused for a second. "How did I get in bed?" I asked out loud. My clothes were still on. The same ones I had on in my dream. It wasn't a dream. I must have fainted and they layed me down in my bed. I listened closely and could hear everyone in the living room.
"Oh god!" I said, and layed back down. I grabbed my phone and called Ryan.
"Hey!" He answered.
"OH MY GOD! Save me!" I told him.
"What is it?" He asked. I told him what had just happened.
"WHAT?" He shouted.
"I know! I just woke up in my room. I don't know what to do! I don't know what to say." I told him.
"Do you want to marry Nick?" He asked.
"NO." I said. "At least not right now. I can't believe he brought my parents and everyone! This is so horrible!"
"Calm down." He said. "Take a deep breath. Just got out there and say you would like a moment alone with Nick. Then tell him everything. Even about Matt." My heart started pounding, and I felt like I was going to be sick.
"I can't." I said.
"Yes you can. I know you can. Then you can tell everyone you said no. That you just aren't ready for marriage yet. I know they'll understand, eventually." He said.
"I can't." I said again.
"Yes you can. At least know there is one other person there that doesn't want you to marry Nick." He told me.
"Who?" I asked.
"Johnny." He replied,
"Yeah, Johnny." I said.
"Now hang up, do what you need to do, and call me right back, okay?" He said.
"Okay." I told him, and hung up. I took another deep breath and got up and opened the door. Everyone got quiet and looked at me.
"Hey, Nick, can I talk to you a minute?" I asked.
"Yeah!" He said, smiling. He got up and walked in the room with me. I shut the door and we both sat down on the bed.
"What is it?" He asked.
