"Sam?" Nick asked.
"Huh?" I aksed, snapping back to reality. "Sorry, What?"
"What invitations do you like?" The wedding planner asked. She looked annoyed with me.
"Those." I said, just pointing to some, not even looking.
"Uh...Sam?" Nick asked me.
"What?" I asked.
"You want invitations with Bikers on them that say Tough Love?" He asked. I started laughing.
"No! I'm sorry. My mind has just been somewhere else lately." I said. I was laughing so hard I could barely speak. Nick and Articia were looking at me very confused. That made me laugh even harder.
"I'll go get you some water." She said, and left the room. Nick looked at me.
"What is wrong with you?" He asked.
"I'm sorry. I don't know. I've just been so stressed out." I told him, and took a deep breath, trying to steady myself and stop laughing.
"So no biker invites, okay?" He asked.
"Okay. What about these?" I asked. I pointed to some ivory ones that were embroidered with pale yellow flowers.
"I like it." He said.
"I wanted yellow roses." I blurted out.
"Then we'll have yellow roses." He said.
"But my mom-"
"Isn't here. This is OUR wedding." He said, and held my hand. I leaned over and kissed him. Articia walked back in with a glass of water for me.
"Feeling better?" She asked, as if I had been choking instead of laughing.
"Fine. Thank you." I told her, and took the glass from her.
"So, what invitations do you like?" She asked.
"These." I said, pointing to the ones I wanted. "And I want yellow roses, ivory seatcovers, pale yellow ribbons, white chocolate rose wedding favors on the table, and-"
"Okay! One thing at a time!" She said laughing, and opening the binder with all my information.
The rest of the meeting went great! We got so much done, Articia said she was impressed. We even knew how we wanted the cake to be decorated. That we would have both a live band, and a DJ. When we left, I felt so much better about everything. As we left Nick kept hugging and kissing me. I was glad to see he was so excited.
"So, back home?" He asked me.
"Do you have to take me back? I miss you. I havn't seen you much lately." I told him.
"I'm sorry. I've been busy with work, and clients." He said.
"I know. I understand." I told him.
"Hey! I know what we can do!" He said, suddenly getting really excited.
"What?" I asked.
"Look at houses!" He said.
"Whoa! What?"
"Well, we are going to need a place to live. I was thinking maybe a condo, or a smaller house closer to the beach." He said.
Thinking about a house made me feel excited, but nervous too.
"Want to?" He asked.
"Yeah, sure." I told him. He drove to the realty agency his dad used and met with a friend of his fathers.
"Nick! I can't believe how grown up you are! Getting married. Wow." A guy at the office said when we walked in.
"Grant, this is Samantha. My soon to be wife." Nick introduced us.
"Pleasure to meet you." Grant said. He was an atractive man in his late forties. I noticed he wasn't wearing a wedding ring, and I wasn't surprised. He looked like the bachelor type.
"We were thinking about buying a house." Nick said, and Grant's eyes lit up.
"Well. I'm free this afternoon. Shall we go take a look at a few?" He asked.
"Absolutely Grant." Nick said. I was impressed at how carismatic Nick was. I knew he was going to be amazingly successful. We followe Grant outside and climbed in his giant SUV to start looking at houses.
