I giggled as Matt picked me up and spun me in circles. "I think you've gotten better at this whole dancing thing." I said.
"Looks like you're going to get to meet my little brother." He said smiling.
"Hey bro." I heard from behind me.
I turned around and Matt put his arm around me.
"Robby, meet Sam." He said. "Sam, my little brother, Robby."
I was speechless. I think he was the most gorgeous guy I had ever met. "You two dance. I gotta go take care of something." Matt said.
Robby held out his hand. I looked back at Matt and he was talking to some guy at the bar. I turned back towards Robby and took his hand in mine. I smiled. He was such an amazing dancer, just like Matt. Maybe even a little better. The music stopped and a slow song started. He tilted me back in his arm, then pulled me back up. Our lips were only inches away from eachothers. I stared into his eyes. They were green. They were so pretty. "Whoa, I just said to dance with her." Matt said laughing. "May I cut in?"
Robby laughed and let go of me. "I'll find a new partner." He said. He walked away.
"So what do you think?" He asked.
I laughed. "I don't need you to set me up with someone." I said.
"What?" He laughed.
"I can find my own boyfriends." I said.
He laughed again. "What? I wasn't trying to set you up with him." He said. "Plus, if one of us were going to date you, it would be me."
"Oh, is that so?" I asked smiling.
"Yes." He said.
The music stopped, then a slower song came on again. He put his arms around me and we just swayed back and forth. It was obvious that we were both tired and worn out. "I miss being close to someone." He said softly in my ear.
"You'll meet someone." I said smiling.
"All the girls I meet, I can't be with for some reason or another." He said.
"Well, maybe you're just looking too far into it and your reasons aren't very good ones." I said.
"You think so?" He asked.
I just shrugged my shoulders. He leaned down and touched his lips to mine. We kissed for a few seconds, until I turned my head away.
He smiled. "So, I guess you weren't refering to yourself." He said.
I smiled shaking my head no.
"I don't get it though. I thought you and Johnny broke up."
"We did." I said. "But, now Nick and I are trying to work things out."
"Don't you think that will be kind of rough though?" He asked. "I mean, you live so far away from eachother."
I just shrugged my shoulders.
"You want to test that and go over to my place?" He asked.
I giggled. "Matt!"
He laughed. "What?" He asked.
"I don't know. . ." I said. "We work together."
"Our private lives have nothing to do with how well we work." He said.
I smiled.
"Come on. We'll watch a movie or something." He said.
"Okay." I said.
"Yeah?" He asked smiling.
I nodded.
I followed him through the crowd of people and out the door. We walked to his car and got in.
"How about a good thriller?" He asked.
"Sounds good." I smiled.
