"I'm so glad you decided to join our group." Madison said giggling as we both washed our hands. She adjusted her shirt and kept pushing up her boobs up as she examined them in the mirror.
"OC Girls kick ass!" She shouted smiling.
"Yes we do." I said, not sounding even close to as enthused as her.
"OC ENGAGED girls RULE!" She said.
I smiled. "We sure do."
"Come on! Let's get back to the rest of the girls!" She said taking my hand. We walked quickly back to the table of girls. There were twelve of us. We were all engaged and planning our weddings.
"Raise your glasses." Sonya said in an annoying high pitched voice. "I have a toast to make, Samantha." She said looking at me.
"Oh sorry." I said raising my glass of wine.
"To weddings. To perfect futures. To beautiful children and to wonderful houses." She said.
"And money." Lynn added giggling.
"That's not the most important thing though." I said.
"Love is." Madison said. She looked at me and smiled.
I nodded smiling.
It got quiet. Madison tapped her glass to mine, then the rest of the girls did. We all took big sips of our wine and placed them back down on the white marble coasters in front of us. "So, what are you all going to do about flowers?" Cassandra asked.
"Yellow roses." I said.
"Interesting. . ." Jill said.
"It sounds very eligent." Madison said.
"It is. I don't care what anyone says. Roses are beautiful in any color." Cassandra said.
Slowly throughout lunch, we all really started to bond and click well with eachother. It took a while for most of the girls to loosen up and really be themselves. I was very happy when I left. I felt like I had some new friends I could actually count on. We agreed to get together again to go over love songs for our first dances. Most of us had no idea what song we wanted to use. We all had to put together a list of songs to share and help eachother pick the one that fit our relationships the best. I got home and went straight to my bedroom. I was a little tipsy and should not have been driving, so I didn't want either of my parents to see me. I picked up my phone and noticed I had a missed call. I checked to see who it was. It was Matt. I checked my messages and realized he didn't leave one. I layed back on my bed and dialed his number. "If you really like me, then you should come back to New York and be with me." He said as soon as he picked up.
I hung up the phone and threw it on the floor. My heart started beating really fast. My phone started ringing again, but I just let it go to voicemail. I took a deep breath. "Hey girl!" Gila said excitedly.
I just forced out a smile.
"How were the girls? Obnoxious as we thought?" She asked as she plopped down onto my bed next to me.
I didn't say anything.
"That bad?" She asked.
I started crying.
"Sam?" She asked.
"I always feel like I am so lost." I sobbed.
She hugged me. "What do you mean?" She asked.
"I am the luckiest girl in the world." I said.
She giggled. "I know you are."
"But, I never make good choices." I said.
"Yes you do."
"No, I don't. I kissed Johnny twice already since I've been engaged. I can't get my mind off Matt and-"
"Stop." She said. She let go fo me. "Do you want to marry Nick or not?"
I shrugged my shoulders. I was so confused.
