I clutched the piece of paper that had Johnny's address and my subway stop in my hand. It was an unknown area, and I was a little nervous. I always was when I had to go somewhere unfamiliar for the first time. Especialy when I was alone. He was going to meet me at the stop, but I was still worried about getting lost. It didn't take too long before I reached where I needed to get off. I double checked the piece of paper, and then got off. I was still in my work clothes, and my shoes were killing me. I had brought a change of clothes with me, but I was running late at work, so I didn't have time to change before I had to jump on the subway. I got off and walked up to the street. I looked around and didn't see Johnny anywhere. I started to get really nervous when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I jumped, and when I turned around Johnny was there. "Sorry." He said. "It's okay. You just scared me." I told him. "Didn't mean to. Come on." He said, and took my hand. I felt better now that he was there with me. We walked along the street passing houses and complexes that were built one right next to the other. Most of them seemed to be touching they were so close. He stopped in front of one. "This is it." He said, pointing at it. I thought he was going to walk up the few stairs to the front door, but he walked down a set of steps that lead to the basement instead. I forgot he had told me his room was the basement. I followed him, and he let me in. It was a little messy, but not too bad. I laughed when I saw his bed. "You have interesting taste in sheets." I told him. "What? You don't like the leopard print?" He asked. I just laughed. He had pictures of skateboarders and articles all over his walls. THere were a few posters of bands I had never heard of too. He had a computer desk with a computer, and a few skating trophies. "You won those?" I asked, pointing at them. "Yeah. A long time ago." He said, and shrugged. "Oh, hey. I developed those pictures I took of you yesterday." I told him, and pulled them out of my bag. He took them and looked through them. "Wow. These are great." He told me. "It's nothing." I said. "No! They are really cool. I love that you got me jumping and stuff. These are neat." He said. "Well, thanks." "Have a seat." He said, pointing to his bed. I sat down, and it was surprisingly comfortable. Just then there was a knock on the door that lead up to the house. "YEAH?" He shouted. "Hey. You eating dinner tonight?" I heard a woman call down in a heavy new york accent. "You hungry?" He asked me. I just shrugged. "Yeah! Be right there!" He shouted back. "Lets go. You can meet my mom and my aunt Clara." He said. "Okay." I said, feeling a little awkward. "They'll love you. Come on." He said, and took my hand. I followed him upstairs. The house was neat and tidy. It could stand to be updated though. The furnature was old, and there was wallpaper on some of the walls. "Johnathan Mitchell! You didn't tell me there was company!" A thin woman wearing a black flowery dress said. "Sorry Ma. This is Sam." He said. "Hello Sam." She said, and shook my hand. "Nice to meet you." I told her. "I'm Johnathans mother. This is Clara." She said, and pointed to a rather heavyset woman sitting at the table. "Hello." I greated. "Ma, call me Johnny." Johnny said, and sat down at the table. I sat down next to him. "Sorry darling." She said, and I giggled. "Darling isn't any better!" he said. His mom put the food on the table and then sat down with us. "So, Sam. Where are you from?" His mom asked. "I'm from California." I told her. "Oh really? That's wonderful." She said. "Sam's a photographer. Look at these pictures she took of me." Johnny said, and pulled the pictures from his shirt pocket, handing him to his mom. "Oh wow. Very nice." She said, looking through them. I couldn't help but blush. We sat and talked for a little while, eating dinner. When we were done, Johnny and I went back down to his room. "Sorry if that was a little weird. My mom always likes meeting my friends though." He said, sitting down next to me on the bed. "It's okay. I like them." I told him. "Good. I think they liked you too. He said. I just smiled. He reached up and put his hand on my cheek then pulled me forward and kissed me. He stopped and looked in my eyes. "Do you have your camera?" He asked. "Yes. Why?" I asked, and he smiled really big. "NO!" I shouted. "Come on, it'll be fun." He said. "NO!! I'm not taking pictures of us..NO!" I said. He just laughed. "Okay, okay." He said. I just giggled. "You are so bad." I told him, and he shrugged. Just then my phone rang. I got up and fished it out of my bag. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey, It's Ryan." Ryan said. "Oh. Hi." I said. "Look, I wanted to say sorry for kind of storming off the other night." He said. "It's okay." I told him. "No, it's not okay. We agreed to be friends, and friends we are. And friends don't just storm off on each other. I'm sorry." He said. "All's forgiven." I told him. "Thanks. Hey, are you busy tonight?" He asked me. I looked up at Johnny. "Yeah, I am." I told him. "Oh. Well, we should hang out again soon." He said. "We will. I'll call you later, okay." I told him. "Okay. Bye." He said, and we hung up. "Who was that?" Johnny asked. "That was my friend, Ryan." I told him. "Oh. Not your boyfriend is he?" He asked. "No." I said. "Okay. Just checking." He said. "Come here." I walked over to him and sat down next to him. He got up, put some music on, then walked over and layed down on the bed. He pulled me down, so I was laying next to him, resting my head on his shoulder. "So how was your day?" He asked. "Long. I had to do two tours by myself! I was nervous and kept messing up. Then I had to work the front desk, but there is a lot I have yet to be trained on, and-and lets just say it was busy." I said. "Sorry to hear that. At least you can relax now." He said. "Yeah." I said, and yawned. He lifted my chin up and kissed me. I climped on top of him and pulled my shirt off. He smiled, and I leaned down and kissed him. Then I slid off my pants while he pulled his shirt over his head. I laughed when it got stuck on his earing and I had to help him get it off. "Shut up." He said, laughing. I just giggled and leaned down and kissed his neck. With the music, we didn't here his bedroom door open. "Johnathan Mitchel!" A man shouted. We both jumped. "DAD!" Johnny shouted, sitting up. I jumped up, and grabbed my clothes, holding them over me. "What the hell is going on in here!" His dad, a big, burly, hairy man, shouted. "Dad! Can't you knock." Johnny said, staning up and wrapping the comforter around me. I was blushing and couldn't even look up I was so embarassed. "What did I tell you? Uh? You can't listen to your old man? No girls here!" He said. "Dad, I'm 19, what's the deal?" He asked. "Nuttin. I guess you don't mind if you knock up some slut and end up payin child support for da rest of yer life." His dad shouted. "DAD! Don't you dare call Sam a slut! Fuck you!" Johnny shouted, and I gasped. "Oh, thats it. You're in fur it now!" His dad said, and came down the stairs. He swung at Johnny, but Johnny ducked and ran across the room. "If she ain't no whore, then you should be treating her wit some respect! What da hell is the matta with you kids these days? HUH? You little bastard! Get your ass over here!" His dad said, lunging after him again. "Harrison! You touch that boy and I'll wack you a good one!" I heard from up stairs. Johnny's mom came down holding a big rolling pin. She had quite a dominating voice for such a small woman. Both Johnny and his dad stopped dead in their tracks. "Sorry Teresa." His dad said. "Sorry Ma." Johnny said. "Now what in the devils name is goin on down here?" She asked. "I walked in on these to about to fornicate!" His dad said. I couldn't speak. I could barley breath at this point, I was so embarassed. "So? That's your business how? Your son is man now. And I met Sam. She seems like a big enough girl to know what she wants." She said. "Yeah, dad." Johnny said. "You ever say fuck you to me again and I'll beat your ass bloody." His dad said. "Sorry about that. I couldn't let you say that about Sam, though." He said. "My apologies to you, and the pretty lady." His dad said, looking up at me. I just nodded. "Come on Harrison." His mom said, and left. His dad followed her out. "That is the craziest thing I have ever seen!" I told him. "Sorry. My family gets that way." He said. "You were about to kill each other, and now everything is fine and dandy." I told him. Johnny just shrugged. "Sorry about the whole thing. Sorry about what my dad said." He told me. "It's okay. Hey, I should probably go. I feel a little awkward now." I told him. "Please don't go. I was really looking forward to spending the night with you." He said. "I don't know." I told him. "Come on. We'll go walk around for a bit, get some fresh air. Then we come back here once things seem a little less weird." He said. "Can I go if they still feel weird?" I asked him. "Yeah." He said. "Okay." I said, and dropped the blanket, and got dressed. Johnny put a new shirt on, I grabbed my camera and then we went to walk around his neighborhood for a little while. He held my hand and talked to me all about his family and how nuts he thought they were. I just laughed, and listened to him. Johnny and his family were certainly entertaining people.
